The effects of sodium glucose co-transporter (SGLT) 2 inhibitors on hematocrit levels: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials
نویسندگان
چکیده
Background: Previous studies have suggested benefits of sodium glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors including improving glycemic control, lower body weight, uric acid-lowering effect and decreasing blood pressure. The aim this study was to evaluate the effects SGLT2 on hematocrit (Hct) levels in patients with type diabetes mellitus.

Effects of Paleolithic Diet on Glucose Control in Adults: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Controlled Clinical Trials
Background: Although the results were conflicting, the Paleolithic diet (PD) was proposed to be effective in improvement of metabolic status. We aimed to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis on the randomized controlled clinical trials (RCTs) evaluating the effects of PD on glycemic markers. Methods: Online databases such as PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar were searc...
متن کاملThe effect of quercetin on stress The Effect of Quercetin on Stress Oxidative Markers: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Clinical Trialsers; A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled clinical trials
Background: Quercetin is one of the main flavonoids, overall distributed in plants. The antioxidant capacity of quercetin is several times vitamin E and glutathione. This systematic review and meta‐analysis of randomized controlled trials were performed to determine the effect of quercetin on oxidative stress (OS) markers. Methods: A literature search was conducted in PubMed, ISI Web of Science...

Despite therapeutic advances, the incidence and prevalence of diabetes continues to surge exacting a tremendous economic burden on countries. The major problem with diabetes is that just 50% of population is able to achieve target glycaemic control with available medic...
متن کاملA novel approach to control hyperglycemia in type 2 diabetes: sodium glucose co-transport (SGLT) inhibitors: systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized trials.
BACKGROUND Current treatment of hyperglycemia in type 2 diabetes (T2DM) is often ineffective and has unwanted effects. Therefore, novel antidiabetic drugs are under development. OBJECTIVE To assess efficacy and safety of the new antidiabetic drugs sodium glucose co-transport-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors in T2DM. Design and setting. Among 151 articles published on MEDLINE, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, Pu...
متن کاملA Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials Comparing the Safety of Dapagliflozin in Type 1 Diabetes Patients
Background and Purpose: The dapagliflozin’s safety profile in insulin-treated adult type-1 diabetes mellites (T1DM) patients remains poorly explored. Therefore, this systematic review and meta-analysis compared the risk of all-cause side effects, study discontinuation of participants due to side effects, urinary tract infection (UTI), diabetic ketoacidosis, and hypoglycemia between dapagliflozi...
